BOULDER - Some 24 lucky technology job seekers will receive free plane tickets to Boulder to interview with select companies as part of Boulder Startup Week 2013 slated for Wednesday, May 15, to Sunday, May 19.
More than 60 events are scheduled over the five-day "week," including business education seminars and informal networking events. Several fast-growing companies in Boulder are looking for software developers and other related job applicants, according to the event website boulderstartupweek.com.
Sponsoring companies will pay for the plane tickets of applicants chosen from applications posted on the website. Organizers are still looking for applications - not all plane ticket awards have been made yet, said Alexandra Weissner, a spokeswoman for the event.
Boulder companies such as SendGrid Inc., a cloud software company that focuses on getting email to customers; Gnip Inc., an aggregator of social-media data; and Pellucid Analytics LP, a software company focusing on investment banking; each have several job openings posted on the website.
